The Travel Codes Translator eBL can translate the human-readable name of a travel term into the code necessary for CRS processes; this translation is called encoding. The Travel Codes Translator eBL can encode airport, city, and metropolitan area information.
For cities, encode returns the city code, country code, and state or province code, if applicable. For airports, encode returns the city code, city name, airport code, country code, and state or province code, if applicable. For metropolitan areas, encode returns the metropolitan area code and the country code.
When encoding information, searches can include partial-name searches. There are two types of searches available:

Note: The August 2003 update to GWS includes the addition of three new encode functions to Travel Codes Translator eBL:
<CityAirport>
<StateProvince>
<PassengerServiceRequest>
