The Travel Codes Translator eBL can translate the codes returned by the CRS into the human-readable name of a travel term; this process is called decoding. The Travel Codes Translator eBL can decode many different types of travel information. For a full list of categories that can be decoded, see Supported Translation Categories.
The decode function of Travel Codes Translator eBL can be used when the CRS returns information that is not in a human-readable format. For example, if flight information is requested, the response may contain codes for meal type and aircraft type. The decode function can then be used to retrieve an expanded explanation of the code. For more information, see the decode samples.
Note: The August 2003 update to GWS includes the following modifications to the decode function of Travel Codes Translator eBL:
Deleted Codes
<AirFarePenalty>, <Continent>, <PasengerRelationship>,
and <TicketingType>
Added Codes
<StateProvince> and <CityAirport>
Added Attribute
The <Airport> and <CityAirport> responses include an "AirportType"
attribute.
